Sondra Okada

In 2012, native New Yorker Sondra Okada made her way to Bradenton from Shanghai, bringing with her 35 years of expertise in design and remodeling. After returning to the U.S. in 2017, she founded Coastal Life Design, a coastal lifestyle-themed Design-Build showroom in West Bradenton, Florida. In 2023, she expanded her vision with the launch of Southern Life Design in Valdosta, Georgia.

Sondra excels at blending her clients' design preferences, expertly combining form and function in every project. Her meticulous, client-centered approach ensures that each interior reflects the unique tastes and interests of her clients.

Sondra holds a certification from the New York School of Interior Design and earned two additional degrees while working in China, where she was featured in GQ (China) and Elle magazines. She is a principal at Southern Life Design and Okada Design Group, as well as the curator of Pinterest's 'The Posh Pad.'

Outside of her design work, Sondra is passionate about all things water-related, cherishes time with her family, and loves hunting for hidden gems in thrift shops.
